The Cedar Hill football program in Texas finished the 2014 season as the 6A Division 2 State Champions! Head Coach Joey McGuire took a few minutes to give us a peek in to his program which was ranked the #7 team in the entire nation by Maxpreps.
- What does your football program do differently from other programs in your league, conference, state that helped you win a State Championship?
Our offseason in particular our boot camp makes us different
- What do you consider to be the most important aspect of your state championship?
Having a true family atmosphere where the team is more important than the individual
- What is one piece of advice that you would give to a coach wanting to win a state championship?
Never stop learning. You don’t have to change what you are doing, but you have to open to change

- Which of the Special Teams was most valuable this year, and why?
Kickoff Team or Punt Team both penned the offense on their end and forced them to drive the field.

Getting the parents to understand their son is not bigger than the team.
